Safeguarding Adults Basic Awareness E-learning Training
Does your job bring you in contact with vulnerable
adults or children?
Do you need basic awareness training on adult
protection?
Have you completed less than 3 months in your new
job?
Are you waiting for a place on the basic adult
protection training?
Do you have access to the Internet?
The Multi-agency Safeguarding Adults Committee for Kent &
Medway has produced a customised an e-learning package just for
you!
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ or ‘not sure’ to any of the above, then
did you know that you could now complete your basic adult
protection awareness on-line?
You will find access to this training particularly useful if you
are a shift worker or work in a job supporting face-to-face contact
with vulnerable adults i.e. housekeeping, catering staff or
administration.
Remember that even if you primarily work with children, you
still need to complete the course as we have responsibility to
ensure the safety of the families that we work with.
This can be accessed from any PC, providing it has Internet
access. The E-Learning is not intended to replace the one-day
Awareness training if this has been identified for you, but is to
be used to update or refresh training already done, as part of an
Induction process or as an overview for staff who may not need to
attend the whole day.
To access this E-Learning course, please contact your Line
Manager, who will explain how to log on and issue you with a
password. The web address for this site is: - www.kwango.com/kentsalogin
On successful completion of the e-learning session you will be
able to print off a certificate and a copy of this should be given
to your Manager.
Your Manager will be responsible for monitoring and recording
your progress, ensuring that a copy of your certificate produced is
kept on your personal file. You can attempt the e-learning test, as
many times as you want, but a mark of 18 out of 20 will only be
considered to be a pass.
See your line manager for further instructions or contact Medway
