Residential care for older people

The work involves providing personal care to a wide variety of people who for one reason or another, find themselves needing short term or long term care in a residential home. You would be involved in helping and supporting people in all aspects of their personal care be that washing, dressing, eating or helping them to continue with the interests that they may have had prior to them needing residential care.

Working in a residential care home you would work as a member of a team to create a friendly and homely environment that respects individually and collectively the dignity and choices of all the residents. Talking with and listening to the interests and concerns of the residents is as important as the physical care that we need provide.
