Residential Care for Adults with Mental Health Issues

The work involves supporting clients to maintain their personal hygiene and to re-train clients to regain lost skills through ill health. You must be able to treat people with respect and support clients to become as independent as possible. The work will involve supporting clients to get up each morning, to support clients in daily living tasks and to introduce clients back into their own community. Your work place will be the client’s homes or in residential homes and you will be working as part of a team.

The work is varied and interesting, some days you will be supporting clients to achieve there aims and aspirations through goal planning, on other days you may find yourself taking a client to lunch or possibly ten pin bowling.
