Training

All care agencies will ensure that you receive appropriate induction before you undertake your first call. This will ensure you have the skills and knowledge of safe and good practice. At a very early stage you will be encouraged and supported to undertake NVQ training to level 2 or 3 in Care. In addition you will receive in-house training to help you care for people with particular problems such as dementia or Parkinson's as well as to develop and improve your practice in areas such as infection control and communication with people who for instance, have hearing problems.
